Grape variety:
Pinot Gris from the Pfalz region, produced by Weingut Benzinger.
A characterful white wine with a typical Pfalz expression: sun-drenched fruit, fine spice, and a harmonious balance of power and freshness. The Pinot Gris is approachable, but with enough substance and structure to delight even discerning wine drinkers.
Color:
Luminous straw yellow with golden reflections, clear and inviting in the glass.
Taste:
On the nose, ripe pear, yellow apple, and mirabelle plum, accompanied by delicate notes of hazelnut, wild herbs, and a hint of citrus zest.
On the palate, soft, round, and balanced, with a fine creaminess, juicy fruit, and a pleasant fresh acidity. The wine is harmonious, dry, and elegant, with a mild, slightly nutty finish.
Food Pairing:
A versatile food companion – ideal with pasta with creamy sauces, poultry, veal, mushroom dishes, tarte flambée, or mild cheese.
Also a very pleasant, uncomplicated, yet high-quality wine for many occasions on its own.
